Với chủ đề “Cùng nhau phát triển: Kỷ niệm 50 năm thiết lập quan hệ ngoại giao Thái Lan – Việt Nam”, chương trình năm nay không chỉ là một buổi họp báo giới thiệu giải thưởng, mà còn được Ban Tổ chức định hình như một không gian giao lưu, kết nối toàn diện giữa hai quốc gia trên nhiều lĩnh vực: kinh tế, thương mại, đầu tư, du lịch và văn hóa. Đây cũng là dịp để xây dựng thêm những mạng lưới hợp tác mới giữa khu vực chính phủ, khu vực tư nhân và các tổ chức quốc tế của Thái Lan và Việt Nam, hướng đến mục tiêu phát triển bền vững và lâu dài cho cả hai nước.

Chương trình được dẫn dắt bởi MC Tontrae – Tinkorn Phuwasakdiwong cùng bộ đôi MC Guide – Rattasak Sakulwacharanan và Tiến sĩ Pingping – Raphat Ekanitiset.

Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Vietnam – Thailand Diplomatic Relations
Under the theme “Growing Together: Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Establishment of Thailand – Vietnam Diplomatic Relations”, this year’s program was shaped by the Organizing Committee not merely as a press conference introducing the award, but as a comprehensive exchange and connection space between the two countries across many fields: economy, trade, investment, tourism, and culture. It was also an occasion to build new cooperation networks among the government sector, the private sector, and international organizations of Thailand and Vietnam, aiming toward sustainable and long-term development for both countries.
Building on the success of the four previous editions, Asia Top Awards continues to affirm its position as a prestigious international award platform honoring individuals, organizations, businesses, and brands that have made outstanding contributions to the development of the Asian region. Notably, the 2026 season is being held right at the time of the 50th anniversary of Vietnam – Thailand diplomatic relations, adding great significance to the occasion.

The press conference brought together a large number of delegates from both the government and private sectors of Thailand and Vietnam. Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana – Deputy Spokesperson of the Office of the Prime Minister of Thailand – presided over and officially opened the event. A representative of the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand, Ms. Hoang Diem Hanh – Minister Counsellor, Deputy Head of the Diplomatic Mission – delivered opening remarks, extending the warmest congratulations for the success of the program on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the two countries’ diplomatic relations.
Continuing the theme of bilateral cooperation, Mr. Alongkorn Ponbutr shared his views on the importance of promoting business, trade, and economic cooperation between Thailand and Vietnam. Dr. Ruangrit Ampuch Upalanala, representative of the Thailand – Vietnam Friendship Association, presented a paper titled “Thailand – Vietnam Friendship: Strengthening Economic Cooperation for a Shared Prosperous Future.”

Flag-Handover Ceremony “Transferring” Asia Top Awards 2026 to Vietnam
The highlight of the press conference was the Asia Top Awards flag-handover ceremony, marking the fact that the 2026 season will officially be held in Vietnam.
In their role as the main co-organizing unit from the Vietnamese side, Mr. Lam Chi Thien – General Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of International Media Joint Stock Company (IMC) – and Mr. Anthony Lam (Lam An) – Executive Director of IMC Group and TodayTV – received the Asia Top Awards flag from Mr. Rath Rimsrikul, founder of the award, and Ms. Mimi – Kanjana Farm, CEO of Together Growth Co., Ltd. Miss Louise Chanthalangsy – 1st Runner-Up of Miss Grand Laos 2023 – had the honor of carrying the flag during the ceremony.
Announcement of the Honorary Jury and the First List of Nominees
Also within the program, the Organizing Committee announced the Honorary Jury of Asia Top Awards 2026, with representatives from both Thailand and Vietnam, including: journalist and film critic Dinh Trong Tuan (Vietnam); Dr. Warodom Sirisuk – producer, director, and TV host; Ms. Nanniya Promngen – former Director of Television Drama and Series Production at Channel 8; and Dr. Kanthana Soncharoen – a media and public relations expert with more than 20 years of experience in the Thai entertainment industry.
The first list of nominees for Asia Top Awards 2026 was also unveiled, bringing together many prominent figures from Thailand and the region: the acting duo Tangkwa – Pinyaneswar Angsuwan and Nuea – Disaraya Techapaiboon (from the drama “Dangerous Queen,” Channel 7HD); the duo MicMac – Mick Setthananporn Worawanich and Mac Suphanat Pornworawanich (WhiteFox, GMM Music); Dr. Sunil Phon – an influencer in Thailand; and Zhang Nan – host and actor at Chongqing Television (China). The Organizing Committee stated that the nominee list will continue to expand with the participation of more prominent figures, including stars of Asian and international stature, in the time ahead.
Continuing the Journey: Meeting the Embassy and Heading Toward Ho Chi Minh City in December 2026
Immediately after the press conference, the Organizing Committee held a meeting to report on the project’s progress with Mr. Pham Viet Hung – Ambassador of Vietnam to Thailand – at the Vietnamese Embassy in Bangkok, reflecting the close accompaniment of both countries’ diplomatic agencies throughout the preparation process for the event.
With the Asia Top Awards flag officially handed over to Vietnam, the 5th Asia Top Awards 2026 ceremony will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2026, in Ho Chi Minh City — marking the first time the award has been held in Vietnam after four previous seasons in Thailand. The event is expected to continue to gather a large number of individuals, organizations, and businesses operating in the fields of economy, culture, entertainment, and social activities from Vietnam, Thailand, and many other Asian and international countries.
